Using the Messaging tab to communicate with your peer is easy!  You can use the Messaging tab to ask questions, share challenges and successes, request a time to meet via phone/video chat, and more.

 

When a new message is received in the app, the Messaging icon will show a red badge, and a notification will be sent to your phone.  


Note:  For privacy purposes, messaging notifications will not disclose the contents of the message.


You can reply and chat with your peer by typing your responses in the 'Write a message...' box.  You'll know your peer is responding when you see the typing indicator:


Information sent within the Messaging tab of the app is private, secure, and and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.


Please note that when reaching out to your peer outside of scheduled meetings, your peer will typically reply within 24 hours unless it is a weekend or holiday.  If you need help in an emergency, please call 911.  If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, text 'HOME' to 741741 in the US or 686868 in Canada for immediate support.
